The Millennium Gardens

A Garden Created for the Millennium

When the Beer Heights Light Railway opened in 1975, much of the surrounding land was steep and undeveloped. In preparation for the year 2000, this landscape was transformed into the Millennium Gardens — a carefully designed and landscaped area that now forms the heart of Pecorama’s outdoor spaces.

Terraces, Planting and Structure

The gardens feature structured terraces, colourful seasonal planting and a mix of shrubs, perennials and mature trees. Carefully laid paths and seating areas allow visitors to explore at their own pace while enjoying expansive views across Lyme Bay and the Jurassic Coast.

Blending formal design with natural contours, the Millennium Gardens provide both beauty and tranquillity in equal measure.
