    Whist we are really missing our customers and very sad that the trains cannot run, for the safety of all, we do need to remain closed for the moment. But the Directors are reviewing the situation regularly in connection with the frequently changing Government restrictions regarding the Covid19 pandemic.

  • DIRECTIONS TO EX12 3NA

    BUY CAR:

    Follow the brown official Tourist Board direction signs indicated with a train symbol for ‘Pecorama Pleasure Gardens’ from the A3052 towards Beer.

    BY BUS:

    The X52 service travels from Exeter through to Bridport via Lyme Regis, stopping off at Beer Cross which is a 10 minute walk from Pecorama.

    The 9 / 9A service runs hourly from Exeter to Seaton / Lyme Regis and the 20 service travels from Taunton, via Wellington and Honiton, to Seaton where there are bus services to Beer. Both of these services are offered by Stagecoach.

    AVMT provide the 899 service from Sidmouth to Seaton and the 885 from Axminster to Colyton, Seaton and Beer. Some of these buses pass just outside Pecorama and will stop on request.

    BY TRAIN:

    The nearest train station to Pecorama is Axminster, on the West of England main line. Trains run approximately every hour from Exeter St Davids and from London Waterloo. The station is approximately 9 miles from us. The 885 AVMT bus service travels from the Station to Colyton, Seaton and Beer, every hour Monday to Saturday.

    Alternatively, taxis from the station can be booked in advance – Axminster Taxis 01297 34000.

    Pecorama is located high on the hillside, less than a mile from the sea and often seems to have its own micro-climate. Our Swiss chalet-style lodge is home to the Garden Room Restaurant where a good selection of delicious, locally sourced homemade meals, snacks and drinks are available.

There are daily specials and monthly changes to the menu to reflect the changing season including curries, pasta, salads, quiches, sandwiches, picnic boxes, cream teas and homemade cakes.

Play Station Buffet – Currently Closed

Enjoy fantastic barista-style coffee and homemade cakes to keep up your energy. The perfect pit stop for families during a shower, where the kids can let off steam in the soft play area and the adults can keep an eye on them sitting down with a hot drink.

Please note that only food or drinks purchased at Pecorama  can be consumed in this area.

All Aboard The Orion – Currently Closed

Step back in time and enjoy this fun yet intimate setting for a spot of good tea, coffee and delicious homemade cake.

Open from 21st March – 19th April (weekends only), 8th May – 10th May, 23rd May – 1st November

This beautifully preserved Orion Pullman Car was part of the Golden Arrow train that used to run from Victoria Station, London to the Channel coast. Lovingly refurbished, it stands proudly now at Pecorama’s own Beer Victoria Station. It is ideally suited for those wanting to reminisce in the past and soak up the nostalgia – not suitable for very young children.

Our menu consists of a Cream Tea, Afternoon Tea or High Tea with a selection of cakes and sandwiches available for the latter.

Advanced bookings are required for the High Tea. Please telephone for more information or to make a booking.
